Ian Maconochie is a well renowned Professor of Practice (Paediatric Emergency Medicine), Department of Infectious Disease – Faculty of Medicine från Imperial College, London

He has been a Visiting Professor to Queen Margaret Children’s Hospital in Perth, Australia, an Honorary Associate Professor in the University of Cape Town.

His area of expertise and research focus  is EBM in Pediatric Emergency care, PEWS, Resuscitation, Sepsis/the feverish child and he has published approx. 380 papers.

He is in Sweden to provide his knowledge and (charm) to help the Swedish Society of Pediatric Emergency Care to move forward in the work to establish Pediatric Emergency Care as a certified specialty in Sweden.

UK is one of the European countries where it has been established for many years and Ian was part of the development.
